What to expect from a Tummy Tuck?

A full and mini tummy tuck both require a significant incision that goes from hip bone to hip bone following the line above the pubic area. The primary difference is that a full tummy tuck also involves creating a new opening for the belly button.

Once the incision is made, Dr. Enevoldsen may use sutures to tighten the abdominal muscles. He then pulls the fat and skin tightly over the abdomen and trims the excess. If this process changes the position of the navel, he will create a new opening in the skin to accommodate the belly button. The last step is to close the incision.
